How to manage my bookings on MagicStay?

Information collected

During the booking process, MagicStay collects and syncs several information regarding the booking.

Guest information

• Full name
• Email
• Phone
• Full address: street name, zip code, city, country

Booking information

• Check-in and check-out dates
• Number of adults
• Source: set as MagicStay
• Client ID
• Amount paid by the guest
• Currency

Payment information

As soon as the payment is processed by MagicStay, the data is automatically added to the booking.

• Date: date of the payment
• Type: online by default
• Amount: price paid by the guest

24-hour confirmation booking process

This is the default booking option if your property is not labelled Online Bookable or Instantly Bookable on BookingSync side.

1. The guest makes his booking on MagicStay
2. A 24-hour confirmation request is sent via email and SMS
3. The manager approves the booking in his MagicStay account
4. The booking is confirmed, the payment is processed by MagicStay
5. The booking is immediately created on the BookingSync calendar as confirmed and the payment is recorded automatically

Instant booking process

Your rental must be Bookable Online or Instantly bookable. This setting can be changed anytime. See how to open your rentals to instant booking.

1. The guest makes his booking on MagicStay.
2. The payment is processed by MagicStay
3. The booking is immediately created on the BookingSync calendar as confirmed and the payment is recorded automatically

Cancel a booking

The booking cancellation is possible from your MagicStay account only.

1. Go into your MagicStay account
2. Go to the section My Bookings
3. Click on the reservation you'd like to cancel
4. Click on Cancel
5. The booking is immediately cancelled on BookingSync.

Modify a booking

It is not possible to modify a booking on MagicStay. If it needs to be modified, it can only be cancelled so that a new one can be made.
