What is Chekin?

Chekin is a software solution for guests registration. With their technology, owners and property managers can easilyautomate guest registration, identification and legal obligations to provide a frictionless check-in experience for the travel industry.

How it works?

- Once you collect the data of your guests, you won’t have to access Police or Statistics websites to register them manually. Chekin will take care of that!

- Also, scan guests’ IDs and passports with OCR technology and get forms filled in a couple of seconds.

- Generate all the required documentation online. You can stop worrying about writing down a ton of entry forms and rental agreements. They will all be generated with this integration and stored online in a Documents folder on your Chekin account.

Difference between the basic and premium features:

Basic Features:

Online Chekin: this tool helps hosts save a ton of time by requiring their guests to register themselves online before arrival. Guests receive a link to complete the check-in via email, whatsapp or sms.

Legal Compliance: if the accommodation is based in a country where the host has the obligation to send data to police, once data is gathered online we take care of the communication to the authorities and we generate automatically all the documentation needed and store it for the time required by law. Hosts have also the option to generate the short rental agreement and make the guests sign it online while registering their data.

Premium features:

Identity verification: hosts can also require guests to verify their identity by activating our biometric match feature that automatically compares the photo of IDs with a selfie that has to be taken at that moment of online check-in by the guest.

Self Chekin: Once the identity has been verified, guests will receive an email with instructions about how to access the accommodation remotely thanks to our integrations with smart locks.

City Taxes: Hosts can require guests to pay the tourist tax during the online registration. Collected money will be automatically transferred from the guest credit card to the host's bank account. Deposit and payments management: hosts are also able to send a link to their guests to charge the deposit or in case of extra expenses due to damage at the property; guests will pay easily by using their CC details.
