Why use sources?

BookingSync allows you to define all the possible sources of your bookings. This will be then very useful for reporting or to trigger notifications, for example.

Note that the sources for the connected portals (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo) and for BookingSync generated websites are created automatically when the first booking from this source is created on BookingSync.

Create a source

To manually create a source, go to Settings > Sources, click on +New source and fill the information

• Name

Click on Save Changes.

Edit a source

To edit a source, place your mouse over the name of the source in the list, then an edit icon will appear on the left.

You can also change the visibility of the source in the same screen. If you set your source as Hidden, then it will not appear in the source list of your bookings.

Link the source with your own website

If you use our Booknow widget on your own website, you might want to have your website name automatically filled as the source for the bookings coming from your website. In this case, you can follow these steps:

1. Create a source as described above
2. Click on edit the source and take the source ID from the url
3. In Apps > Website > Templates > Snippets > booknow.liquid, add the code data-source-id="NNNN" in the widget code, where NNNN is the source ID. See this related article. Please note that this line needs to be added inside the script.
