Import of existing properties
Included in the OnBoarding the import of your properties via Airbnb.
What we DON’T import via Airbnb:
- We don’t import the rates
- We don’t import the fees
- Airbnb might block the import of information, so you may need to add the property type or the bed's types.
NB for connections:
- Airbnb: Your Airbnb account can be connected to only ONE Channel Manager at a time. To establish the connection with BookingSync, we first need to disconnect your Airbnb account from your former Channel Manager.
=> this implies all your properties will be disconnected during the time of connection, then reconnected to BookingSync: which means all the properties are disconnected, that’s why it’s important to connect all the properties the same day.
- Booking.com: We can connect properties from your existing Booking.com account even though you're still connected with your former Channel Manager. There will be no downtime or disconnection at this time of the process.
Import of existing bookings
The PM needs to keep using the old Channel Manager live and running until we start the connections with BookingSync. Understand that the BookingSync calendar needs to be updated and accurate with all the reservations made before the connections can be done. >> cf. WORKSHOP 4
Included in the OnBoarding :
- Booking.com: Official future ones, not passed
- Airbnb: Only official ones, passed and future, not manually added
- Expedia: it's a manual import via an Excel file. You will have to ask your Local Support team or Market Manager to provide you with the list of future bookings to import to your BookingSync calendar (even if the bookings have already been created via another channel manager, they will be replaced).
- iCal import: import of existing reservations from another source. Note that iCal import only blocks unavailable dates and doesn’t show the booking details. They will also need to be replaced afterwards manually by the PM if they wish to have the data.
- !!IMPORTANT!! Vrbo, Tripadvisor, MagicStay, and Misterbnb: existing bookings made before the connection is live and running are NOT imported in the BookingSync calendar and need to be added manually into the BookingSync calendar.
Extra cost on an individual basis and on request approved by Technical Team if doable depending on wished imported data:
- Import of bookings from existing PMS/Channel Manager: on quote (you have to request to the sales team or the OnBoarding team + Technical team Dan)
- Custom import: on quote (request to OB Team + Technical team )
Reasons why you would choose the Kigo or the custom imports:
- Import the bookings details for the past booking ( HA & Bcom)
- If you have many direct booking and need the data for your Marketing or Accounting workflows
