This article explains the different configuration options available when inviting a new owner to the Owner App.
Note: Once all the information is filled in, you will be able to click the "Invite an Owner" button. The owner will then receive an invitation email with a link asking them to confirm and create their owner account. This email contains a registration link that can only be used once.
Once their owner account is created, your owners will need to use this login link to access their dashboard: https://owners.bookingsync.com/fr/owners/login
Invite an Owner to Create Their Access
Once the app is open, click "Invite owner".

An invitation form will open. You can now add your owner's contact details, choose the language in which you want to communicate with them, assign one or more properties to them, and select the different elements that will be visible to them.

Financial Transparency
This option determines the level of financial detail visible to the owner on their statements.

Net Only
- Owner sees only the final amount they receive
- No deductions are shown
- Simplest and cleanest view
- Ideal for: owners who just want to know their net earnings

What the owner sees:
Consolidated breakdown

- Owner sees aggregated deductions (total amount)
- No line-by-line detail
- Ideal for: a good balance between simplicity and transparency
Examples:
What the owner sees:
- Consolidated without access to fees/services :
2. Consolidated with access to fees/services :
Fully detailed
- Complete detail of each deduction line:
- Itemized cleaning fees
- Detailed taxes
- Commission by channel
- Service fees
- Full transparency on revenue breakdown
- Ideal for: owners who require detailed accounting
Example (without checkboxes):
What the owner sees:
Additional Options (checkboxes):
Financial fees and services
- Only applies when "Consolidated breakdown" transparency is selected
- If checked: displays payment fees, bank fees, and financial services as separate lines
- If unchecked: these fees are hidden or aggregated into other categories
Ancillary revenue
- Applies to all financial transparency levels (Net Only, Consolidated breakdown, and Fully detailed)
- If checked: owner sees revenue from additional services (late checkout, airport transfers, premium services, etc.)
- If unchecked: this revenue is not visible separately to the owner
- Useful to control visibility of upsells created by the PM
Example (with Financial fees and services + Ancillary revenue checked):
What the owner sees:
💡 The owner clearly sees ancillary revenue (late checkout) and detailed financial fees separately.
⚠️ Important: These settings can be adjusted after the owner account is created, but it's recommended to define them upon invitation to avoid confusion.
Summary Table
| Setting | Option | What owner sees | Use case |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reviews access mode | Consolidated view | Score, content, source | Passive owner |
| Reviews access mode | Fully detailed | Category breakdown | Engaged owner |
| Financial transparency | Net Only | Final net amount only | Maximum simplicity |
| Financial transparency | Consolidated breakdown | Gross revenue + total deductions | Balance transparency/simplicity |
| Financial transparency | Fully detailed | Every revenue and expense line | Full transparency |
| Financial fees and services | Checked | Detailed financial fees | Demanding owner |
| Ancillary revenue | Checked | Upsell revenue visible | Sharing extras with owner |
Owner App Access & Permissions
The settings configured during owner invitation determine what sections and data are visible in the Owner App. Here's how permissions control access:
Note: "Any account" means if the owner has access to data from multiple accounts, the section will display if at least one account grants the required permission level.
Access Logic by Section:
- Calendar - display if any account has access to calendar
- Performance - display if any account has access “detailed” or “consolidated” financial transparency
- Bookings - display if any account has access to calendar (because calendar gives access to bookings)
- Accounting
- Owner Statements - display if any account has access “detailed” or “consolidated” financial transparency
- Folio link - display if the account for the specific Owner statement has access “detailed” level of transparency
- Folio - display if any account has access “detailed” financial transparency
💡 Key principle: Access is additive across accounts. If an owner manages multiple properties/accounts, they see a section if any of their accounts grants the required permission level.
