List of rates rules available in BookingSync
Additional Person (fixed price per night) > Extra price per night per person above 2 people
This rule should be used if you want to increase your rates for any additional people above the number of guests given in the rule.
Example, if the season rate is 100€ per night, and you set Extra price of 15€ per night per person above 2 people, then the price for 1 or 2 guest will be 100€ per night, for 3 guests, 115€ per night, for 4 guests 130€ per night, etc.
Arrival Only > Arrival only on "day of the week"
This rule gives the possibility to select certain day(s) of the week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday...) on which you would prefer to have all the arrivals.
Example, if you select Arrival only on Saturday and Sunday, it will be impossible to make a booking with check-in on any day except Saturday or Sunday
Booking one day ahead > Booking at least one day ahead
This rule gives the possibility to forbid the guest to book for the same day of their reservation.
Example, if the rule is activated, a guest will not be able to make a reservation for the same day the check-in will be happening
Charge at least > Extra price for staying less than X days
This rule allows the guest to book for a short period but paying the amount for the stay defined here. This is especially recommended to allow you to lower your minimum stay and avoid gaps in your calendars.
Example: if the season rate is 100€ per night and you set Extra price for staying less than 3 days, then the guest will pay 300€ if he stays 1, 2 or 3 days and then 400€ for 4 days, 500€ for 5 nights, etc.
Charge at least if available > Extra price for staying less than X days if available
This rule allows the guest to book for a short period but paying the amount for the stay defined here. This is especially recommended to allow you to lower your minimum stay and avoid gaps in your calendars. If the gap between 2 bookings is lower than the number of nights specified, then the guest does not pay the extra price. This also requires to have the dates available (in the calendar, and by having rates set up for those dates), otherwise the rate rule will not be applied.
Example: if the season rate is 100€ per night and you set Extra price for staying less than 3 days if available , then the guest will pay 300€ if he stays 1, 2 or 3 days and there is the availibility for a 3 night stay (i.e. there is a gap in the calendar of more than 3 nights) OR will pay 100€ for 1 night if there is only a 1 night availability, 200€ for 2 nights if there is a 2 night availability, etc.
Charge at least full period > Extra price for staying less than full period from "date" to "date"
This rule allows the guest to book for a short period but pay the amount for the full period specified. This is especially recommended for events. Even if the guest decides not to stay the full period, he will be able to book and you get the whole amount.
Example: if the season rate is 100€ per night and you set Extra price for staying less than full period from Tue 14 Mar 2017 to Fri 17 Mar 2017, then the guest will pay 300€ if he stays 1, 2 or 3 days during the period from the 14 till the 17th of March.
Departure Only > Departure only on "day of the week"
If you would like to define strict day(s) in the week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday...) for all the departures, then this rule gives you that possibility.
Example, if you select Departure only on Saturday and Sunday, it will be impossible to make a booking with check-out on any day except Saturday or Sunday
Full Period Only > Stay at least from "date" to "date"
This rule lets you select dates when it is only possible to book the whole period (or longer).
Example, if you select Full Period Only from Saturday 7th August to Saturday 14th August, it will only be possible to make a booking of 7 nights or longer during this period. It will be impossible to book from Saturday 7th August to Tuesday 10th August
Early Booking > Booking more than "X days / months / years" ahead
This rates rule gives the possibility to change the price in accordance with how far ahead your rental is booked. The period is a matter of your choice.
Example, if you add the rule Early Booking: 60 days: -5%, for a booking made more than 60 days before the check-in date, the rate will be discounted by 5%
Late Booking > Booking less than "X days / months / years" ahead
Customize your rental price if a booking is made only some days or weeks before the check-in date. Easily select when this rule applies, setup the period of time when the special price should occur, enter the percentage to influence the setup rental rate and that’s it. You’ve just applied the Late Booking rule.
Example, if you add the rule Late Booking: 3 days: -10%, for a booking made less than 3 days before the check-in date, the rate will be discounted by 10%
Occupancy less than > Less than X people
This rule allows you to decrease your rate, using a percentage, if the number of guests is lower than the number specified.
Example: if the season rate is 100€ per night and you set Less than 3 people, 20% discount, then 1 and 2 guests will pay 80€ per night, the 3 or more guests will pay 100€.
Prevent Gap > Prevent a gap in bookings between X days and X days
This rule prevents guests from booking if it will result in a gap between the number of days defined in the rule.
Example: if you set a rule Prevent gaps between 2 and 6 nights, it will be impossible to create a booking that leaves a gap of 2 to 6 days in your calendar before or after the booking.
Prevent If Booked Ahead Of > Booking not more than "X days / months / years" ahead
Prevents bookings with a check-in date more than X days/months/years from the current date.
Example: if you were to add a rule prevent if booked ahead of: 6 months, then bookings could only be made for dates from the current date up until 6 months in the future. Bookings with a check in date that is more than 6 months in the future could not be made.
Prevent If Booked Less Than > Booking at least "X days / months / years" ahead
Prevents bookings with a check-in date less than X days/months/years from the current date.
Example: if you were to add a rule prevent if booked less than: 7 days, then bookings could only be made for dates more than 7 days in the future. Bookings with a check in date that is within 7 days of the current date could not be made.
Stay At Least > Stay at least "X days / months / years"
If you would like to offer different prices in accordance with the length of stay, then this rule can be your choice. Here you can define by which percentage you would like to decrease the price if your rental is booked for at least a certain number of days, months, years...
Example: if you add the rule Stay At Least: 14 days, -10%, any bookings with a duration of 14 days or more will have the rate discounted by 10%
Stay Shorter Than > Stay shorter than "X days / months / years"
If you would like to offer different prices for stays below a certain duration, then this rule can be your choice. Here you can define by which percentage you would like to increase the price if your rental is booked for less than a certain number of days, months, years...
Example: if you add the rule Stay Shorter Than: 3 days, 15%, any bookings with a duration of less than 3 days will have the rate increased by 15%
Strict Minimum Price Per Night
Define the percentage* to influence the rate, if you would like to setup the lowest acceptable price per night for the season, period of your choice or to be always applied.
Weekend night > Weekend nights (day of the week)
You can setup different prices for different days of the week. Opt for this rule, choose when it applies, select the days that you would like to have a different rate and enter the percentage to influence the setup rate.
Example, if the season rate is 100€ and you select Weekend Night: Friday & Saturday, 25%, a booking from Thursday to Sunday will have a rate of 350€ (100€ for Thursday night, 125€ for Friday night and 125€ for Saturday night). A stay from Monday to Wednesday will have a rate of 200€ (100€ per night)
