Registration
To connect BookingSync (Smily) to Chekin you first have to create an account.
Note: if you already have a Chekin account, please contact support@chekin.com for further assistance.
1 - Go to the Chekin registration page. Then, complete the business information required and select BookingSync in the list of PMS. Click Continue.
2 - Click on Connect with BookingSync button to start the connection process
3 - After clicking on "Connect with BookingSync”, you will be redirected to the BookingSync login page. Use your BookingSync credentials to log in to authorize the connection.
Note: If you are already logged in before starting the registration, the page won’t ask for the login and will take you to the next step.
4 - Confirm the connection by clicking Authorize.
5 - Once authorized, you will be redirected to the Chekin Dashboard. The information from your BookingSync account will be transferred to your Dashboard. You can check what is synchronized and when here.
Note: Property and reservation data transfer can take a couple of minutes to finalize.
Onboarding Guide: Step by Step
1. Go to the “properties” section on menu:
2. If your property status is “Incomplete”, click on the property and follow these steps:
2.1. Property information: complete any information missing from your property (this is needed to generate the guest registration form).
2.2. Police and Statistics Connection: if required in your country, add your Authorities account credentials to send data to the Police and Statistics Institute.
*In this section, you will be able to check if a police login is available for your country. If it is, please enter your police account credentials. If you do not have these credentials, it is important to contact your local authorities as soon as possible to obtain your account. Then, enable the toggle to automatically send guest data slips. If you have multiple properties registered under the same account, clicking on 'VALIDATE' will display a new field labeled 'Property.' You must select the appropriate property on the Authorities' website.
3. Online Check-in: Automatically send online registration links to your guests via email. You decide when to send them based on your needs and strategy.
* In order to ensure guests complete the registration before check-in date, we suggest you mark all the reminder options. Reminders will automatically pause once the guest has completed the online registration.
Instead you can include the link to your BookingSync notification by following these steps:
- Go to the Notifications App of your BookingSync account
- Click on Edit the Smooth Check-in Notification
How do your guests register themselves?
- Your guests confirm bookings details including travelers, check-in and check-out dates.
- They complete their personal data and sign the rental contract online.
- They verify their identity to ensure their documentation matches the person entering your property.
- Guests can conveniently make online payments for abt booking-related expenses, including upsells, deposits, tourist taxes, and more.
- During the online journey, you can provide guests with personalized upselling opportunities to generate extra revenue.
- Once the check-in is complete and guest identity verify, you can send access codes for seamless guest arrival.
