Once Split Payments are set up, your daily role is simple: Smily handles all the calculations. You just need to review and confirm payouts when ready.
For security during the launch phase, if a payout isn’t confirmed within 30 days, it will be automatically triggered. This safety delay can be disabled at any time to ensure payouts are sent without waiting.
Step 1 : View Revenue Distribution

After each booking is reconciled, you can see how the money is split.
- Go to Revenue Distribution in your Smily dashboard.
- For each booking, you will see:
- Acquisition (💡 costs taken out before the split)
- OTA Commission (Airbnb, Booking.com, Website Builder markup)
- Payment Charge Commission (mainly from Payments by Booking.com)
- (if applicable) Travelers’ Fee (net)
- SmilyPay Fee (net)
- Split Payment Fee (net)
- Taxes
- Property Manager Share
- Commission on rent
- Booking fees payable to you (not withheld by OTA)
- Taxes payable to you (if applicable)
- Fees charged to Owner (e.g. check-in fee, fridge stocking fee)
- Owner Share
- Commission on rent
- Booking fees payable to the Owner (not withheld by OTA)
- Taxes payable to the Owner (if applicable)
Step 2 : Confirm Payouts
✅ By default, transfers are scheduled with a 30-day delay. This gives you time to check amounts and raise any questions.
Confirmations screen:
- Go to the Settings → Owners Payout
- Double check all the Payments pending confirmation
- Click on Confirm once ready. Once confirmed, the payout is released the next day instead of waiting the 30 days.
How to read the confirmation screen:
| Column | What it shows | Why it matters |

| Traveler fee | Extra fee if you use Traveler Fees. | Shows what’s been collected from the guest. |
| Internal fees | Other fees (currently same as Traveler Fee, later may include booking engine fees). | Transparency on all fees collected. |
| Booking payout amount | The net amount to split between Property Manager and Owner. | The “pot” that will be divided. |
| Split Payment fee | The cost of using Split Payments (0.6% excl. VAT). | Keeps payouts transparent. |
