You can define here the rental agreement that will apply by default to all your properties.
For each language of your BookingSync account, enter the corresponding rental agreement. You can use the Markdown format to style your agreement. Type in the Input tab and see the result in the Preview tab.
Don't forget to save by clicking on Update Rental Agreement.
Having a rental agreement is mandatory to allow online payment and to use the Vrbo full sync.
Note that BookingSync gives you the possibility to edit three different Rental Agreement types:
- General Rental Agreement: the one described here
- Rental Agreement - per rental: in each rental > Rental Agreement tab
- Rental Agreement - per booking: in each booking > Add Rental Agreement link
Here is an example of the general terms and conditions (in French and English) that can be integrated into a rental agreement.
This agreement will be sent to your travelers, so you are free to add specific elements to the rental, such as condominium rules, pool regulations, etc.
Mass modification of terms and conditions
Property managers can override the account-level rental agreement with a custom agreement per rental. Over time, some rentals may end up with outdated custom agreements that should instead fall back to the account-level template. Until now, Support had to handle this via a console.
Two self-service buttons now replace that workflow:
Account level (Preferences → Payment → Rental Agreement)
- A “Reset N rentals to this agreement” button appears whenever one or more rentals have a per-rental custom agreement.
- After confirmation, it removes all per-rental overrides on the account, so all rentals fall back to the account-level template.
- A “See the N rentals with a custom agreement” link opens the rentals list filtered to those rentals, which is useful to review or reset specific rentals first (especially on large accounts).
Per-rental level (Rental → Rental Agreement)
- A “Reset to account-level rental agreement” button is shown when that specific rental has its own agreement.
- After confirmation, it removes the override and the rental falls back to the account-level template.
IMPORTANT : Existing bookings are not affected. Bookings already made keep the rental agreement they were signed with. Only future bookings will use the updated (account-level) agreement.
The bulk reset runs in the background, so large accounts with hundreds of overrides won’t time out the request.
