You can now enable the "Booking Request" option for your properties from the Booking.com app via the "change settings" form. This feature allows you to manage booking requests in a more flexible way. Please note that Properties connected to Booking.com since October 2023 can be converted from instant bookable to a request-to-book model. Those created before cannot.

ℹ️ How to use it?
If you set your rental as not instantly bookable from PMS > Rental > Base, it will be in the booking request template for all your channels.
If you want to apply it only for booking.com for example, you can check Instantly bookable as we have added a specific setting on booking.com Smily app.
When you drag and drop a new listing to create on booking.com , you will get the new option booking model
to choose from in the property settings.
- Please choose Instant Bookable or Request to book.
Then you will have this screen, just to inform you of the conditions and the impact it has.
- If you select Booking Request, you will see this pop-up after clicking Create on booking.com

- If you want to accept it: click on ' load in a new booking

- If you want to refuse it: just ignore it and it will be automatically cancelled
after 24 hours.

- Make sure to check the details to match the booking request.Note: we do not receive the name, surname and email of the person making the request from booking.com but once that person completes the booking, we will receive and update this information on Smily's PMS
- Make sure the temporary expiration is set to 24 hours as it blocks your availability/calendar - always leave it at 24 hours!
- Create the provisional reservation.
Rules and Eligibility
Listing Types:
- Only available for classic listings (not for multi-unit listings).
- Multi-unit listings can accept booking requests on the Booking.com extranet, which will then sync to Smily.
Traveler Check-in:
- Travelers can make a reservation with a check-in more than 48 hours in advance and send a reservation request.
Response Time:
- You have 24 hours to accept or decline a booking request. After this time, the request will expire.
Calendar Blocking:
- Your calendar is not blocked until you accept a request.
- If you accept the request, it will block your calendar. The traveler then has 24 hours to finalize their reservation. If not finalized in time, the reservation request will expire.
