Rates
In the guest reservations, the global rate is correct but not the daily rate. Why?
There are several ways to sync the rates with Booking.com. BookingSync uses the LOS pricing (Length of Stay). It means we do not send a price per night but a price per stay, that includes the rates rules. It corresponds to the initial price you see when you create a booking in BookingSync.
That is why when Booking-com converts to a night rate, they just divide the LOS price into the number of nights.
Is it possible to have a currency in BookingSync different than the currency in Booking.com (local currency mandatory)?
YES :)
Our synchronization with Booking.com integrates a currency converter. So you can have in BookingSync your rates in your favorite currency and sync it with Booking.com. The rates displayed in Booking.com will be automatically converted into the local currency.
Note: When a booking is created from Booking.com in your calendar, the currency of the booking is the one used on Booking.com and not the rental currency. If you use the online payment by BookingSync, make sure that your payment gateway accepts the currency used in Booking.com.
Where can I find in BookingSync which rates and cancellation policies were used for the booking?
In the booking comment, there is a section that gives this information.
Example:
### Rate information Rate: Standard Rate Cancellation policy: General
Scores
As you know, on Booking.com, your properties have scores and rankings. You can have 3 of them displayed directly on our Booking.com app:
- Property page score
- Review rating
- Reply score
Where can I see my scores and ratings?
The scores are displayed at 2 levels, property and globally.
To find out the scores for one of your properties, go to your BookingSync account > Apps > Booking.com > go to the listing you wish to view and the details will be displayed right away. Good to keep in mind that it is only visible if you have already gathered scores and ratings on Booking.com
Pro tip: if you hover your mouse on the circled “i” you can see the area average scores. To discover the scores for all the properties connected to your BookingSync account, go to Apps > Booking.com, and click on the score icon right next to the Help section.
Note that this feature is only available if you are on one of our latest pricing plan.
Synchronisation issues
When I go to the Booking.com application in BookingSync, I see the message "Booking.com recommend rentals of to use for currency, will be converted from EUR to soon", what is wrong?
This message means that the country of your listing in BookingSync doesn't match the country in Booking.com. As the country and currency are missing from the sentence, it means that the country entered in BookingSync is not known at Booking.com.
For example, the country set in BookingSync is Canary Island and in Booking.com it's Spain (which is the valid country).
Solution: edit your property and change the country to the same country as in Booking.com
Questions related to the synchronization
Where do I find my Hotel ID, accommodation/room ID?
The hotel ID is the account ID in Booking.com. You find it in your extranet, on the top right.
The accomodation or room ID corresponds to your rental ID on Booking.com. You find it in your Booking.com extranet > Rates & Availability, for each rental you sell.
