How to manage non-refundable rate plans on Booking.com

You have the possibility to create a non-refundable option from BookingSync to your Booking.com homes.

What are the benefits of using a non-refundable rate plan?

With a Non-Refundable Rate, guests pay the full price if they cancel, make changes or no-shows. Adding a Non-Refundable Rate to your property can reduce cancellations and help you secure guaranteed payment for the reservation.

How can I create a non-refundable rate plan for my Booking.com reservations?

1. On your BookingSync, go to Apps
2. Open your Booking.com app
3. Choose the listing you wish to apply the rate plan for and click on change settings
4. On the block Non-Refundable option, enable the non-refundable rates.
5. Add the percentage of discount you wish to apply for non-refundable reservations. Note that this can be from 0% to 99% depending on the amount of discount offered.
   Tip: Non-refundable bookers are looking for low prices. A 10% or more discount off your cheapest rate will attract the most guests.
6. Click on save

[Pro Tip] If you want to create a non-refundable rate plan with the same discount on all your properties connected to Booking.com, you can follow the same steps from the "Property Settings" panel.

How does it look like on the Booking.com extranet?

Once it's set up on your BookingSync account within our Booking.com app, the option will be available on your Booking.com extranet after a few seconds.

Note that, even if the rate plan is configured instantly in the Booking.com extranet, itcan take up to 24 hours to be activated and displayed on the listing page.

How does it look like on the Booking.com listing page?

As soon as your guests select the dates on the Booking.com booking form, two prices will be displayed and the guest will be able to choose between the different rate plans active for the booking period.

How can I modify a non-refundable rate plan for my Booking.com reservations?

1. 1. On your BookingSync, go to Apps
   2. Open your Booking.com app
   3. Choose the listing you wish to modify the rate plan for and click on change settings
   4. On the block Non-Refundable option, modify the percentage of discount you wish to apply for non-refundable reservations. Note that this can be from 0% to 99% depending on the amount of discount offered.
      Tip: Non-refundable bookers are looking for low prices. A 10% or more discount off your cheapest rate will attract the most guests.
   5. Click on save

Note that even if the rate plan is instantly modified on the Booking.com extranet, it can take up to 24 hours to be activated and displayed on the listing page.

How can I delete the non-refundable rate plan for my Booking.com reservations?

1. On your BookingSync, go to Apps
2. Open your Booking.com app
3. Choose the listing you wish to delete the rate plan for and click on change settings
4. On the block Non-Refundable option, disable the non-refundable rates.
5. Click on save

Note that the rate plan is instantly removed on the Booking.com extranet AND on the Booking.com listing page.

What are the requirements to use the non-refundable rate plans?

Please note that in order to use the non-refundable cancellation policies you must:

1. Use our Booking.com full synchronization via API.
2. Only customers on our latest pricing plans can use the non-refundable rate plans.
