You can define a price increase for your rates synchronized to OTA's via BookingSync. You can access the price increase feature via the app preferences of the OTA.
This setting allows you to define a percentage of increase that will apply to the rates you send to the specific channel.
This percentage can be global (apply to all rentals and periods) or can be defined for each rental and period.
Please note that by default the percentage of price increase is also added on top of the fees synchronized to the OTA's. This default setting can be disabled upon request to our Customer Care team.
Steps
To apply a global price increase:
- Fill in
Price increase
field - Click on
Save
To apply a price increase per rental and by period:
- Click on New specific price increase
- Choose the rental and enter a start date and an end date.
WARNING: It's really important that you define the same period as the one for your rates. If you have two percentage of increases for one period of rate we will just apply the higher percentage for the full rate period. The system can't manage two percentage of increase for one rate period.

How to calculate the price increase required to absorb the channel commission
Definition
COMMISSION: Commission is taken by the channel on the booking final price.
PRICE_INCREASE: percentage of price increase to apply per application
Formula
((100 / (100 - COMMISSION)) - 1) * 100 = PRICE_INCREASE
Examples
Example with COMMISSION of 5%:
((100 / (100 - 5)) - 1) * 100 = 5.263
Example with COMMISSION of 15%
((100 / (100 - 15)) - 1) * 100 = 17,647
Applying this, if you price is 100 in BookingSync, you mark-up your price for Booking.com at 17,647%, so the price in Booking.com will be 117,64€. The portal commission will then apply to this amount, 15%.
Booking-com commission will be 117,64 * 0,15 = 17,64 so your price without the commission is 100€
