Your business is growing? Excellent news, time to add new rentals in your BookingSync account.
Here is a quick summary on how to do this. Then you can explore each "Rentals" section of our manual to go into more detail.
- Go to the Rentals section of your account
- In the top right corner of the page, click on New Rental
- Enter at least the name of your new rental and click on Add rental
Note: the Name field will be the internal name of your rental, which will be displayed within your Smily account when managing rentals and bookings.
Your rental has been successfully created, you will now find it in the rental list to complete the information:
Base: this is the basic information about your rental
You have several Rental Types available.
Please note they are supported by the following applications: Airbnb, Vrbo, TripAdvisor, Notification & Website.
Synchronization with our Partners depends on them. If the rental type does not exist, our Partners will automatically match it with the closest type or "Other".

Rental Management Type is a mandatory field, so you are required to specify whether the rental is a professional or non-professional listing
Description: complete text description of the rental. Please note that you have the ability to add translations that can be used on your website.
Note: the Headline field will be the public name of your rental, which will be used externally for guests, such as on the Smily payment page or external platforms.
Location:
The first line allows you to determine the advertising area for your rental (think of it as being the nearest touristic area)
The second section (Address) allows you to localize your rental.
Amenities: a large scale of amenities so your customers get as much information as possible
Rates & Rates rules: you can define the base rate for your rental, different seasons with different influences on the base rate and rates rules. You can consult the dedicated manual articles for more information on adding your rates.
Special offers: allows you to give discounts independently from the seasons' rates
Photos: you can upload as many photos as you want.
Videos: you can also upload videos to show your property
Rental Agreement & Rental cancellation policy: if you have a specific rental agreement or cancellation policy for a property, you can add it in these sections. If you don't add a rental agreement or a cancellation policy in the rentals section, the default policy from your account settings will be used.
Fees/Services: you can assign the fees and services that apply to your rental. For more information about fees and services, check out this article: Fees/Services.
Taxes: you can assign the taxes that apply to your rental. For more information about taxes, check out this article: Taxes
Contacts: add any contacts responisible for the management of this rental - more information can be found here: Contacts.
Private: Private notes - these notes won't be synchronised with any channels so they won't appear anywhere except in the rentals section
It is important for you to fill out as much data as possible as it will be used to create/update your website (through our website builder), but also can be pushed to several distribution portals (like Airbnb for example).
That's it! Your property is setup!
You can repeat the process and add more rentals or go to Bookings tab and start updating your calendar.
Delete a Listing:
To delete a listing, go to the "rentals" menu, then click the "action" button and select "cancel rental":
Before performing this action, it is important to ensure that the listing is properly disconnected from the distribution channels.
Note: We recommend that you save the identifier of this listing before deleting it so that you can ask us to reactivate it in the future. The listing identifier is available in the URL of the listing page.
