🔑 Main Information for Connecting Your Airbnb Account to Smily
🔗 Connected Status
Your Airbnb account in the Smily dashboard must show a “Connected” status.
🏡 Active Listings Only
Ensure your listings are set to “active” on Airbnb. Listings that are snoozed, suspended, or unlisted cannot be imported.
👤 Owner Account Requirement
You must add the Airbnb Owner account (the one that created the listing) to import listings into Smily.
Airbnb does not always allow Co-hosts to connect or disconnect listings via the API.
⚠️ Co-host Import
You can import a listing as a Co-host, but the Owner must validate the connection, as they will receive a text message confirmation.
Alternatively, if you have the Owner’s Airbnb login credentials, you can connect directly.
👥 Main Host Requirement
Ensure you are the main host of the listing. If you’re not, request the host to transfer their account to you.
🤝 Host Connection
Your hosts should connect their Airbnb accounts to Smily directly.
🚪 Log Out of Airbnb on Browsers
Ensure you are logged out of Airbnb on all browser sessions.
💲 Disable Smart Pricing
Make sure “smart pricing” is turned OFF on Airbnb before importing listings. Otherwise, pricing and minimum night requirements won’t sync with your property data.
📄 Data Import vs. Management
Importing listings to Smily does not mean you’re managing them yet. This step only pulls in property data for your Smily system setup. Additional steps are required to activate the Airbnb channel fully
🔌 Disconnect Other Channel Managers
If your Airbnb account is linked to another channel manager, you’ll need to temporarily remove their access to complete the import
Contact your current channel manager to understand re-engagement requirements, including any downtime or potential data loss.
Note: If you’re new to property management software, you can ignore this step.
